Amberwood Care Centre-Rockford, IL

Amberwood Care Centre was chosen as a location on the statewide bus tour aimed to stop Medicaid cuts.  The Health Care Council of Illinois is leading this charge.  It was a great opportunity for the Amberwood residents, families and staff, as well as others in the health care field, to show their support. There were several TV stations in attendance as well, covering the event.  Georgia Giacone, President of the Amberwood Resident Council, gave a speech in which she outlined the plight of the residents and thanked the staff.  Amberwood would also like to thank everyone who attended the rally and helped to bring attention to a great cause.
