Amberwood Care Centre - Rockford, IL
Amberwood Care Centre lost a very special employee and friend last month. Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant, Sam Davidson, passed away at Swedish
American Hospital unexpectedly on June 15th, after a short illness.
Sam was a young 40 years old and leaves behind 6 children, ranging in age from 3-21, as well as a large extended family. With his engaging smile and always eager to help, he was extremely popular with residents, their families and staff members alike. Many of them left messages on a memorial board for Sam.
From a family member:
Sam, You will truly be missed.I will always be thankful to you. You made a promise to me and the love of my life, Edward Stevenson. You told us you would have him walking again and you did. So, again thank you. Rest in peace Sam.
From a patient of Sam's:
This is 4 you Sam. You you were more than a therapeutic and supportive therapist. You were a friend and a loving person who treated me with care and genuine love. Since day one, you cared and kept your promise. I took my first stair steps with you. You are my brother from another mother.
