Amberwood Care Centre - Rockford, IL

Amberwood Care Centre would like to congratulate, Tiara Hill, Restorative Aide, for receiving the "Heroes in Long Term Care" award.
Each year, the Health Care Council of Illinois (HCCI) recognizes staff members from long-term care facilities across the state with "Heroes in Long Term Care" awards. There were over 100 recipients this year, chosen from almost 650 nursing homes across Illinois. HCCI sends out award nomination forms annually to Illinois nursing homes it represents. Then the organization selects winners from those who are nominated.

Tiara was nominated by Jodi Naser, LPN, Restorative Nurse at Amberwood. Jodi says of Tiara, "[She] goes above and beyond what is expected of her on a daily basis. She is always willing to help out staff or resident, even if it means stopping what she's doing."  Jodi went on to describe how Tiara often comes in on her days off, just to visit with the residents. Many times, she brings her son in to visit as well.  The residents always enjoy visits from children and look forward to them. 

Tiara has worked at Amberwood for the past 6 years. The entire staff recognizes the exceptional work she performs and her thorough knowledge of the job, as well her dependability and loyalty to the residents. With a track record like that, it must have been an easy decision for the HCCI to give Tiara this award.
