One of our residents, Marge Tipton, is gleaming with pride as the world watches her 22 year old granddaughter, Analeigh Tipton, on the big screen. Analeigh Tipton plays the role of actor Steve Carell’s love struck baby sitter in the new movie “Crazy Stupid Love”. Analeigh got her shot at fame by appearing on “America’s Next Top Model” in 2008 where Tyra Banks tearfully discharged her in 3rd place. Always aspiring to be a figure skating pro, her height (now 5’10) steered her elsewhere. As her grandmother Marge explained, “she has always wanted to direct films and just because she acts now, doesn’t mean she won’t stop writing.” Analeigh is currently working on several other acting assignments that are piling up fast. Her goal of becoming a director is never far from her mind. She explained to a Star Tribune writer, “my downtime between projects is writing. On set, I’m surrounded by people with similar goals, and it focuses me more”. She intends to create “female-based comedy with sarcastic, dry-humored wit and intelligent, fiery characters.” Analeigh is currently working on a piece about an uncomfortable relationship between two sisters, whom have similar characteristics to herself.
