Amberwood Care Centre - Rockford, IL

Students from Rock Valley College recently held a fundraiser for the residents of Amberwood Care Centre. The students organized "Bowling Extravaganza," as part of a business class project. The fundraiser was a huge success, bringing in over $2,000. The money was used to buy Christmas gifts for all of the residents as well as DVDs, CDS and games for the Activity Department.  The group also donated the remaining $800.00 to use for resident outings and events!!  Several of the students attended the Amberwood Christmas party, held on Dec. 7th, and passed out the gifts then. The residents were thrilled with the party and the wonderful presents they received.
On behalf of the residents and staff at Amberwood, we would like to thank all of the students, as well as those who attended the Bowling Extravaganza, for helping to make this Christmas a truly special one, for so many.
