Memory Walk for Alzheimer's, Amberwood Care Centre

Rockford, IL - Amberwood Care Centre, participated in the 2010 Memory Walk on Saturday, September, 25th. The team from Amberwood Care Centre was comprised of staff, residents and family members.  One of our residents, Joan Plummer, is 73 years old and has walked with the team the past 2 years.  The annual event is held across the nation and organized by the Alzheimer's Association to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's disease. The Memory Walk is the nation’s largest fundraising event for Alzheimer’s disease. Since it’s inception in 1989, the Memory Walk has raised over $300 million.
