What is a Caregiver Connections buddy? |
|
A. |
Your buddy may be comprised of both family and professional caregivers who have volunteered to provide support for other caregivers in our community. A caregiver has been in your shoes and has faced the same struggles you are going through. They understand and can provide the support you may need.

How often will the buddy be available? |

24 hours a day

Do I have to know someone that resides at Amberwood Care Centre in order to be a part of the Caregiver Connections Program? |

No, we welcome anyone in the community that may need a friend to talk to, ask questions or listen to frustrations and concerns.

Is there any other type of support given at Amberwood Care Centre regarding Memory Loss diseases?
|

A. |
Yes, we offer a FREE support group that meets at 2:00 p.m. on the last Thursday of every month at Amberwood Care Centre. We also offer regular educational seminars free to the public.
