Julie has been employed by Amberwood Care Centre as the Administrator since October, 2007. With a certificate in Nursing Home Administration from George Washington University, she served the Skilled Nursing Facility/ Long Term Care industry for the past 21 years as Administrator in facilities throughout northern Illinois, including Rockford, Dekalb, Dixon, Polo and Crystal Lake. Julie is responsible for the oversight of all daily operations and is a master of wearing many hats. Julie also attended Sauk Valley College and started out working through the ranks of her hometown facility in Franklin Grove, IL where she found the rewards of working with the geriatric population to be her life’s work.
She has two children; her son Dan is 26 years old and her daughter Jamie is 22 and attends Rockford College. In her spare time Julie enjoys reading, music and travel. Julie spent the year 1980 as an exchange student in Australia, which fueled her love of travel.
